Harvest Celebration Event
Pontesbury Community Garden Harvest celebration and apple pressing
On Sunday September 22nd the Pontesbury Community Garden will be holding an event to celebrate their first season of growing.
Come along to sample Bill’s veg Paella, or bring your own pizza (12”max) to cook in our pizza oven. Salads made with garden produce (as far as possible) will be provided. Find out about how easy it is to grow your own food, even in a small space, and find out where the produce is being used.
There will also be an apple press and apple juice for sampling. Please bring along your apples for pressing and empty milk cartons/bottles to take some home to freeze/drink. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any apples to bring, you are welcome to come and sample some juice (and possibly some cider) and learn more about different apples and the delicious juice you can make.
Hopefully some music too, so come along and make an afternoon of it!
